DPRK's Plan for Satellite Launch Supported in Ecuador, Peru
Pyongyang, March 27 (KCNA) -- Organizations of Ecuador and Peru supported the DPRK's plan for launching Kwangmyongsong-3, an earth observation satellite.

The Ecuadorian National Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of the Birth of President Kim Il Sung, the Ecuador-Guaranda Institute for Friendship and Cultural Solidarity with the Korean People and the Canar Provincial Institute for the Friendship and Solidarity with DPRK of Ecuador said in a joint statement on March 20:

The satellite launch will be a great event strikingly demonstrating the national power of socialist Korea and a pride of the world people looking up to the DPRK as a beacon of socialism and a symbol of justice.

Some hostile forces are claiming that the projected launch of Kwangmyongsong-3 is a "missile launch" and "a violation of UNSC resolution" but this is a base act of encroaching upon the sovereignty of the DPRK.

We fully hail and support the plan for launching Kwangmyogsong-3 and express invariable solidarity with the Korean people in their just cause.

The Peruvian-Korean Institute of Culture and Friendship in an article posted on its Internet homepage on March 21 bitterly denounced the U.S. imperialists' hostile policy toward the DPRK, economic blockade and moves to obstruct the satellite launch, adding that the right to use space is not a monopoly of big powers.
