Loyalty Displayed in Erecting Statues
Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- Statues of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, erected at the Mansudae Art Studio in the capital city of Pyongyang, were unveiled on February 14 to mark the 70th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il (February 16).

After the sad news on the demise of Kim Jong Il was announced on Dec. 19, Juche 100 (2011), requests for erecting his statue came to the studio from across the country.

Many people volunteered to work for erecting the statues. Among them were Paek Hyon Bi and Kim Mi Ra, 70-year-old women, and Min Yong Su, a worker at the Central Zoo.

People in North and South Hamgyong provinces, Jagang and Ryanggang provinces, Kaesong City and other parts of the country sincerely assisted this project.

More than 165,000 people have visited the statues up till now, pledging to remain faithful to the dear respected Kim Jong Un and thus implement Kim Jong Il's behests to the letter.
