U.S. Ships Latest Armored Cars into S. Korea
Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- The U.S. forces in south Korea introduced Striker armored cars to south Korea to be deployed in their units.

The 19th support activities headquarters of the U.S. forces opened to media the unloading of armored cars at Pusan port on Mar. 20.

Striker armored cars are known as main combat vehicles of the Striker unit, a rapid deployment force of the U.S. forces.

Pursuant to a new military strategy for bolstering the U.S. forces overseas, the U.S. imperialists buckled down to realizing the "strategic flexibility" calling for the transfer and deployment of U.S. forces in south Korea in any place of the world as the first measure for carrying it out.

As part of the moves for putting it into practice some of the forces of the U.S. 2nd Division in south Korea were reorganized and bolstered into a rapid deployment unit using Striker armored cars as main offensive means.

It was in June of 2003 that the DPRK-targeted war exercises were frantically staged by use of those armored cars for the first time in south Korea.
