Haktanggol Revolutionary Site in Pyongyang
Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- The Haktanggol Revolutionary Site is situated in central Pyongyang.

It is the historic place where Kim Hyong Jik, outstanding leader of the anti-Japanese national liberation movement and indomitable revolutionary fighter, formed the Korean National Association (KNA) on Mar. 23, Juche 6 (1917).

He set forth the idea of "Jiwon" (aim high) and conducted energetic activities before the formation of the KNA. The Association greatly contributed to switching the anti-Japanese national liberation movement in Korea from the nationalist movement to the proletarian revolution and achieving the unity of the anti-Japanese independence movement.

Later, he proposed measures for expanding the KNA at several meetings including the Haktanggol meeting in early February 1919.

At the site, there is a monument "May the Korean National Association Shine Forever" erected to hand down his undying exploits.
