Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- DPRK Premier Choe Yong Rim learned about production at the Puryong Ferroalloy Plant on the spot Thursday.

Right after the liberation of the country the great persons of Mt. Paektu had a deep insight into the importance of the production of ferroalloy in building a rich and powerful country and made sure that the Puryong Metal Factory, its predecessor, turned into a powerful base of ferroalloy industry.

The plant has directed great efforts to the production of ferroalloy urgently needed for different fields of the national economy.

The workers of the plant are making innovations in production while stepping up the technological updating of overall production processes with the approach of the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung and the historic Conference of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Choe Yong Rim learnt in detail about ferroalloy produced there.

After going round the processes for the production of ferroalloy and dust absorption, he convened a consultative meeting of officials concerned.

The meeting called on the relevant units to take measures for satisfactorily ensuring the supply of equipment and materials needed for production and management to meet the growing demand for ferroalloy.

That day the premier went round the Komusan Cement Factory and stressed the need to fully display the advantages of local industry.
