Documentary on Mourning over Kim Jong Il's Demise Telecast in DPRK
Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- A documentary film "The great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il will always be alive in the hearts of people" (Part 1), a sequel of "The great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il will be immortal", has been telecast in the DPRK.

The film features servicepersons and civilians, stricken with grief over the demise of their leader Kim Jong Il, bidding their last farewell to him.

In the beginning the film shows Kim Jong Il standing on Mt. Paektu.

At the sad news of his death on December 17, Juche 100 (2011), which came so abruptly, so untimely and so regretfully, the whole country turns into a sea of tears all at once.

Flags at half-mast are hung countrywide and mourning places built up throughout the country are crowded with sorrow-stricken mourners.

The dear respected Kim Jong Un visits the then Kumsusan Memorial Palace once and again to pay silent tribute to the bier of Kim Jong Il, accompanied by senior party, state and military officials.

Visitors to the memorial palace burst out sobbing to see Kim Jong Il lying in state.

Koreans overseas come to the homeland to mourn before his bier.

Ri Hui Ho, widow of former south Korean President Kim Dae Jung, and Hyon Jong Un, chairwoman of south Korea's Hyundai Group, lay wreaths by his bier and express deep condolences over his death.

Mourners include representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations in Pyongyang, foreign military attaches and other foreigners staying in Pyongyang.

The film also shows the funeral ceremony, people bidding their last farewell to Kim Jong Il along the 40-kilometer-long route, choked with tears, and a national memorial meeting.
