DPRK's Self-Defensive Countermeasure Favored
Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- Political parties, organizations and figures of different countries issued statements between March 8 and 11 to denounce the south Korean authorities for hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK while staging war maneuvers against the DPRK in league with the U.S.

The National Salvation Front of Russia in a statement fully supported the fixed stand of the DPRK reflected in the statement of a spokesman for the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army and the statement of a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry. It demanded the south Korean authorities stop at once all the political and military provocations against the DPRK.

The Secretariat of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks in a statement noted that the south Korean authorities are staging the war maneuvers for aggression in league with the U.S. This is aimed at leading the DPRK to a military counteraction like the Yonphyong Island shelling, it said.

The Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK in a statement stressed that the present situation proves that the DPRK was very just when it shaped the policy of turning itself into a powerful fortress with war deterrent to defend the sovereignty of the country and the nation.

Kikuo Tashiro, president of the Japanese Society for the Study of Kimilsungism, in a statement denounced the U.S. and south Korea for their war moves, expressing support and solidarity with the Korean people's struggle for the reunification of the country and the peace in Asia.

Seizaburo Ekuchi, representative of the Tokyo-Pyongyang Rainbow Bridge, in a statement urged the south Korean "government" to stop at once the dangerous war provocations and positively opt for improving the north-south relations in the spirit of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration signed by the top leaders of the north and the south.
