DPRK Premier Learns about Work at Musan Mining Complex
Pyongyang, March 16 (KCNA) -- DPRK Premier Choe Yong Rim learned about the work at the Musan Mining Complex on the spot Thursday.

The workers of the complex in charge of the lifeline of metal industry are alive with a high-pitched drive for increased production to commemorate the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung and greet the Conference of the Workers' Party of Korea with high political enthusiasm and great labor achievements.

They expanded ore-dressing systems for the production of concentrated ore at Ore-dressing Workshop No. 2 and put the existing ones on a modern basis on a high level, thus providing a bright prospect for completing the construction of large cone-style crushing ground No. 2 before the Day of the Sun, April 15.

Technological updating made a rapid progress as required by the age of knowledge-based economy, markedly boosting the production of concentrated ore and capacity to remove earth and giving face-lift to the complex, a treasure of the country.

Choe Yong Rim looked round the combined control room of Ore-dressing Shop No. 2, the fifth motor station of large cone-style crushing ground No. 2 and other places to learn about the production and technological updating there. He convened a consultative meeting of officials concerned there.

The meeting referred to the important duties to be performed by the Musan Mining Complex in keeping the production going at a high rate at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex and other iron and steel works and in accelerating the building of an economic power. It, at the same time, discussed measures for raising the quality of concentrated ore.

It also took measures for relevant units to provide on priority basis equipment, materials and products needed for the construction of the crushing ground and repair of deep-boring machines.

Concluding the meeting, the premier called on the officials of the complex to take deep care of miners' living.

Earlier he learned about agriculture in South Hwanghae Province on the spot.
