Seminar for Commemorating Centenary of Birth Held in South Africa
Pyongyang, March 16 (KCNA) -- A seminar for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung was held in South Africa on March 10.

Eddie Kekana, chairman of the Group for the Study of the Progressive Ideas of South Africa, in a report said Kim Il Sung founded the Juche idea in the early days of his revolutionary struggle and, on the basis of it, laid down the Juche-oriented line of the Korean revolution, adding:

He put up a slogan for going amongst people and devoted himself to them all his life.

As he reposed undisputed trust in the might of the popular masses, Kim Il Sung victoriously led the anti-Japanese armed struggle with neither state backing nor support from a regular army, finally liberating Korea, and won a victory in the three-year-long Korean War.

He dedicated himself to the people, always making journeys to mix with people.

That is why the Korean people always remember and revere him no matter how much water may flow under the bridge.

The speakers explained and proved the originality and tremendous vitality of the Songun policy pursued by general secretary Kim Jong Il, noting that it is just the only treasured sword for defending socialism in the DPRK and hastening the successful building of a thriving nation.
