Solution to Issue of Comfort Women Urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- Members of women's organizations including the Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps in south Korea and victims to sexual slavery for Japanese army held a press conference in Seoul on March 8 demanding the Japanese government make an apology and reparation for the crimes of sexual slavery in the past.

Speakers at the conference disclosed the fact that during the period of colonial rule by the Japanese imperialists, Korean women were forced into sexual slavery at the battle-sites of Japanese army.

It is very regretful that the issue of "comfort women" has not yet been settled, they added.

They urged the Japanese government to apologize and redeem for the past crimes as soon as possible.

They underscored their will to wage positive actions to secure apology and reparation from the Japanese government.
