Birth Anniversary Commemorated by Bulgarian Paper
Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- The February issue of the Bulgarian paper Iskra carried a special write-up on the birth anniversary of general secretary Kim Jong Il.

It carried articles titled "42 and Mt. Paektu", "Mt. Paektu knows who its master is", "Songun brilliant commander" and "Immortal works" under the bannerline "Kim Jong Il, son of Mt. Paektu". It also carried his portrait.

The paper went on:

Mt. Paektu where Kim Jong Il was born is situated on 42 degrees North Latitude. This is same with 1942, a year he was born.

Mt. Paektu has so many stories of profound meaning.

Kim Jong Il resembles Mt. Paektu in the true sense of the word.

The paper told a story about the mysterious natural phenomenon on Mt. Paektu at a time when he climbed it one year.

Kim Jong Il, leader of the DPRK, is a man with extraordinary stratagem and matchless grit, it said, stressing that he started the Songun revolutionary leadership by visiting Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division of the Korean People's Army on August 25, 1960, and pursued the Songun politics from the late 1960s.

He published treatise "On the Juche Idea" on March 31, 1982, it noted, adding this work is an immortal work which comprehensively deals with the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung.
