National Fine Arts Exhibition Opens
Pyongyang, March 9 (KCNA) -- An exhibition of fine arts pieces presented by amateur artists opened in Pyongyang as part of the National Art Festival for Commemorating the Centenary of Birth of President Kim Il Sung.

On display there are more than 100 pieces.

Seen in the center of the exhibition hall is the poster "May my great country prosper forever!" depicting the mindset of all the people that Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il are always with them.

Also displayed there were Korean painting "Immortal Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia", oil painting "With Best Wish for Immortality", calligraphy "Immortality", woodwork "Eternal Sun", woodcut print "Even Sky and Land Grieve", watercolor painting "Blessed Vinalon City", Mannyon painting "Forest" and other paintings of diverse themes.

The paintings vividly reflect the firm will of the army and the people of the DPRK to hold President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the Songun sun of Juche for ever, and build a thriving socialist nation on this land under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The opening ceremony took place at the Pyongyang International Cultural Centre on Friday.

Among the attendants were Choe Ryong Hae, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, artists and amateurs.
