DPRK Women Call Kim Jong Il Father
Pyongyang, March 8 (KCNA) -- On the International Women's Day, women in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are sorely missing General Secretary Kim Jong Il, who showed deep loving care for them in his lifetime.

In the DPRK, women are regarded as a powerful force turning one of the two wheels of revolution.

They have played a big role in the production and construction. Wives of servicemen have devotedly worked to look after soldiers with maternal love.

It was leader Kim Jong Il who had acknowledged the women's devoted efforts for families and society and shown deep loving care for them.

He personally named newborn babies and posed for souvenir pictures with housewives. When calling at a house he praised the housewife for having prepared balls of soybean malt and made a promise with her to come again to taste soybean sauce later.

He also sent autographs to common women in reply to their letters and visited a newly built apartment building to congratulate women artistes on their moving into new houses.

There were also stories that helicopters were sent under his instructions to carry women pregnant with triplets to the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital.

Untold are such stories about the leader's deep loving care for women.

That is why the Korean women unreservedly call Kim Jong Il father.
