S. Korean Authorities' Hypocritical Talk about "Dialogue" Snubbe
Pyongyang, March 8 (KCNA) -- A few days ago, south Korean Minister of Unification Ryu U Ik urged the DPRK to respond to the north-south dialogue in the wake of the talks with the U.S., asserting that "to solve the pending issues with wisdom would help pave the way for the south-north relations of helping each other to survive and co-prosperity and unification."

Rodong Sinmun Thursday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

His talking about "dialogue" is as impertinent as speaking of funerals when the talk is of marriage, the commentary goes on:

Prevailing on the Korean Peninsula is a touch-and-go situation where a war may break out any moment due to the DPRK-targeted war exercises and the gravest provocation of the south Korean conservative forces. It is nonsensical to talk about any dialogue.

The Lee Myung Bak group committed unethical crimes by leveling guns at the fellow countrymen in the north who grieved over the great loss to the nation at the end of last year, thereby refusing to be a dialogue partner themselves. Not content with this, they launched large-scale war exercises against the DPRK which is still in the mourning period and even committed such most hideous provocation by hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK.

It is, therefore, illogical for the north and the south to negotiate as if nothing had happened between them despite the fact that the most hideous political and military provocations were perpetrated in south Korea against the DPRK.

The south Korean authorities' talk about "dialogue" is nothing but a cunning artifice to evade the responsibility for the catastrophic situation created due to the above-said provocations and calm down the strong domestic and foreign public denunciation.

With no rhetoric about "dialogue" can the south Korean authorities cover up their extreme hostility toward fellow countrymen and black hearted intention to escalate the confrontation and the thrice-cursed crimes against the nation.
