What Does U.S. Warship's Entry into S. Korean Port Seek?: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, March 6 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, "Blue Ridge," a flagship of the U.S. Seventh Fleet, entered Tonghae Port of Kangwon Province of south Korea. The authorities of the U.S. forces in south Korea claim the portcall by "Blue Ridge" is for what they called "exchange" and "cultural event," asserting it is irrelevant to the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

"Blue Ridge" entered south Korea for taking part in the war drills to get familiar on the spot with the tactics for invading the north, to intents and purposes.

This is clear from the fact that "Blue Ridge" has never missed Key Resolve and Foal Eagle staged in south Korea every year.

It is the scenario of the U.S. to let "Blue Ridge" play a pivotal role in the above-said exercises for a pre-emptive strike at the DPRK.

"Blue Ridge's" purpose can also be evidenced by the fact that its portcall is not on Pusan as before but on Tonghae Port near from the Military Demarcation Line.

The prevailing situation goes to prove that it is none other than the U.S. and the south Korean authorities who escalate the military confrontation and tension on the Korean Peninsula through reckless political and military provocations in an effort to increase the danger of war.
