it-in Hunger Strike for Abrogation of FTA Launched in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- People from the "Headquarters of the All-People Movement for Checking the Conclusion of the south Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement", the Solidarity of Youth and the Solidarity for Progress and other organizations in south Korea launched a sit-in hunger strike on March 1 demanding the abrogation of the shackling agreement with the U.S. Prior to the strike, they held a press conference. The speakers said the FTA with the U.S. serves only the interests of the U.S. and a handful of big businesses. They will check the effectuation of the agreement slated for March 15 through the sit-in strike, they said. They vowed to judge Lee Myung Bak regime and the "Saenuri Party" by all means at upcoming "parliamentary" and "presidential" elections. |
