Rodong Sinmun Assails Lee Myung Bak's Reckless Remarks

Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, Lee Myung Bak was reported to have blustered that "an urgent task for increasing war capability is to make defence reforms," asserting that "the north is steadily beefing up its military muscle." Trumpeting about "security", he cried out for making "preparations to beat the enemy", "reinforcing the will to retaliate against provocation" and "getting fully ready to do so."

Rodong Sinmun Friday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

The accusations made by Lee against the DPRK, ballyhooing about "the north's beefing up of its military muscle" is nothing but gangster-like sophism to evade the responsibility for having escalated tension and bedeviled the north-south relations and justify the moves to ignite a war against the DPRK.

What Lee cried out for "punishment" and the like, touting "security" only strips bare his ulterior motive and bellicose nature, the commentary notes, and goes on:

It was ridiculous, indeed, for the traitor to have mouthed "security". The puppet forces are the arch criminals who have rendered the situation on the Korean Peninsula extremely tense. Finding itself in the worst ruling crisis, the Lee group is keen to fan up bitterness towards compatriots and divert elsewhere the public attention with "security" rhetoric, but this trite artifice will never work.

"Punishment" which Lee cried out for before his minions glaringly proves that he is none other than the worst warmonger who is egging the puppet brass hats onto inter-Korean confrontation and a war against the north.

It is the final conclusion drawn by the DPRK that it is left with no option but to finally settle accounts with Lee steeped in extreme bitterness towards compatriots and confrontation hysteria to the marrow of his bones.
