Korean Book, Photo and Handicraft Exhibition Opens in Peru
Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- A Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibition was opened in Peru on Feb. 22 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

Displayed at its venue were works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, photos on their feats, books and photos on Songun-based Korea and handicrafts associated with the creative wisdom and skills of Koreans.

Jose Luis Perez Aleman, deputy governor of a district of Santiago, Lima City of Peru said that he deemed it an honor to hold the Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibition to mark the 70th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il.

The exhibition will offer Peruvians an opportunity to know better about the DPRK and the Korean people, he noted, expressing hope that the exchange, cooperation and bonds of friendship between the two countries would grow stronger in various fields.

He expressed support for the Korean people in their efforts to build a thriving nation.

Meanwhile, a photo exhibition took place in Dominica on Feb. 20.
