On display there were photos of the revolutionary exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

The participants paid a moment's silence in the memory of Kim Jong Il.

Pham Tat Dong, chairman of the Vietnamese preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung and chairman of the Vietnam－DPRK Friendship Association, said in his speech:

President Kim Il Sung was the great leader of the Korean people, a prominent activist of the international labor movement and a close friend of the Vietnamese people.

The Workers' Party of Korea headed by General Secretary Kim Jong Il led the Korean people, true to the behests of President Kim Il Sung, and achieved great successes in carrying out socialist construction and the cause of peace and reunification of the country.

We wish the fraternal Korean people fresh successes in the struggle for the building of a thriving nation and the country's reunification under the leadership of the WPK headed by the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

Put on the stage of the art performance were colorful numbers of teachers and children of the DPRK-Vietnam Friendship Kyongsang Kindergarten and the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Kindergarten. They included the immortal revolutionary hymns "Song of General Kim Il Sung" and "Song of General Kim Jong Il", "Footsteps", "Song of Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Kindergarten" and piano ensemble "Korea Is One".

Meanwhile, friendly meetings, meetings, photo exhibitions, film shows and art performances took place in Syria, Spain and Pakistan from Feb. 15 to 21 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il.
