U.S. Arms Build-up under Fire
Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- Some time ago, the U.S. and Japan agreed to transfer U.S. marines in Okinawa to Guam before the relocation of the Futenma U.S. air force base within the prefecture.

The U.S. also announced that it would disperse and deploy its marines in Australia, Philippines and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region in a rotating manner.

Minju Joson Tuesday observes in a by-lined commentary in this regard:

This brings into bolder relief the U.S. hegemonic ambition to dominate the Asia-Pacific region by force of arms.

The main slogan put up by the U.S. for carrying out its strategy for world domination is "put Asia-Pacific region under control in order to dominate the world."

There are countries in the region capable of upsetting overnight the unipolar world structure led by the U.S. dominating the present world. They have political, economic and military capabilities to be reckoned with.

Given this fact, it is the most pressing and vital requirement of the U.S. to completely contain those countries capable of challenging its strategy for dominating the world and put the Asia-Pacific region under its control.

The U.S. strategy for dominating the region is, in essence, a strategy for dominating Northeast Asia and the one for military domination.

The moves to bolster the combat capability of the U.S. forces in the region may spark off an arms race and escalate the tension in the region as there are the most acute hotspots and it is beset with sensitive territorial issues among countries in the region.

These moves are nothing but dangerous and reckless military actions which may trigger off a war in the region and seriously disturb social stability.

The U.S. would be well advised to clearly bear in mind the serious consequences to be entailed by its moves and stop them at once.
