Minju Joson on Dangerous Nature of S. Korea-U.S. Anti-Sub Drills
Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- The U.S. and south Korean warmongers launched the largest-ever joint anti-sub drills in the West Sea of Korea on Feb. 20, saying that the "Cheonan" warship sinking case proved the possibility of the operation of the north's subs in the West Sea.

In this regard Minju Joson Thursday says in a bylined commentary that by waging the exercises under the pretext of the warship case they seek to convince the public that the warship was sunken by the DPRK.

The anti-sub drills are aimed at locating the DPRK's subs and striking them in the territorial waters of the DPRK after provoking a war against it.

They have staged many similar war exercises so far, but it is the first time that Aegis destroyers are mobilized.

This explicitly shows what a dangerous stage their move to invade the DPRK has reached.

The south Korean conservatives are working hard to lay a foundation for coming to power again by turning the table in their favor in the forthcoming elections by creating "insecurity" through the large-scale war drills. When they fail in this, they are going to ignite a war.

It is necessary to keep vigilance against the tendentious war drills.
