S. Korean Authorities' Suppression of Progressive Forces under Fire
Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- The campaign for cracking down upon progressive forces kicked up by the south Korean authorities recently discloses their sinister intention to create a terror-ridden atmosphere in the run-up to the "parliamentary election" and realize their wild ambition to stay in power.

Rodong Sinmun Thursday says in a by-lined commentary in this regard:

The south Korean conservative forces have become the target of public curses and criticism for all sorts of crimes committed in four years of their office and are now in the grip of the worst ruling crisis.

Taken aback by the daily growing actions of the people from all walks of life to judge its regime, the Lee Myung Bak group has kicked off a fresh whirlwind of crackdown upon the progressive forces in a bid to attain its sinister aims to calm down the anti-"government" sentiment and rally conservative forces.

The Lee group seeks to achieve the "security of its regime" and stay in power by invoking the "Security Law" just as the successive traitorous rulers did.

The Lee group's ruling crisis is a product of its own incompetency, irregularities, corruption and unpopular rule.

Absolutely unjustifiable is the frantic suppression of the progressive forces intensified by the group on the strength of the SL as it is a mean and shameless action.
