16th Kimjongilia Festival Closes
Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- The 16th Kimjongilia Festival was closed with due ceremony at the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Exhibition on Tuesday. It was opened on Feb. 14 to mark the birth anniversary of general secretary Kim Jong Il.

The Festival was held with splendor as a festival in praises of the great man, drawing more than 400,000 visitors.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Yong Nam, Kim Kim Nam and officials concerned, officials of ministries and national institutions, service personnel, working people, schoolchildren and the delegation of Korean residents in Japan.

The certificate of the top prize went to more than 10 units and the certificate of special prize to the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan.

The certificate of best prize went to more than 60 units.

The certificate of prize of merit and participation certificate were awarded to dozens of service personnel, working people, schoolchildren, overseas Koreans, foreigners and Chinese residents in the DPRK and the diploma of cultivation technology prize to cultivators of those units which displayed Kimjongilia by successfully bringing potted flowers into full bloom on a scientific and technological basis.
