French Players Conspicuous at February Figure Skating Festival
Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- French players, title holders of European championships, deeply impressed the spectators at the on-going 21st International Figure Skating Festival for Paektusan Prize.

The festival opened on Wednesday, a day before the Day of the Shining Star (Feb. 16), birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il, culminated in the demonstration performance by famous figure skaters from various countries.

29-year old Natalie Pechalat and 32-year old Fabian Bourzat told e KCNA it was the third time for them to take part in the festival. They have become friendly with figure skaters of the DPRK and realized that their technique has developed.

They said they could see that the festival is a renowned one as many famous figure skaters of different countries participate in it.

Through TV, they heard the news of passing of leader Kim Jong Il and saw the Korean people grieving.

They also said that in Pyongyang, they could see the Korean people who turned sorrow into strength.
