Popular Korean Singer in Japan
Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- People's Artiste Ri Yong Su of the Kumgang-san Opera Troupe of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan is now popular for his song "I Will Never Sell My Soul".

He is giving performance in Pyongyang as a member of the art troupe of Koreans in Japan to commemorate the Day of the Shining Star (February 16), birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

Smooth and soft verses followed by dynamic refrain silence the auditorium in no time.

The 47-year old popular singer has been active in the art organization named by President Kim Il Sung.

With his songs he heartened Koreans in Japan to keep to the path of patriotism. He composed dozens of songs including "Kim Jong Il, Father of 700 000 Koreans in Japan" and "My Way."

The song "I Will Never Sell My Soul", his own creation, also reflects the will of the Koreans in Japan to remain Korean nationals despite trials and hardships.

President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il appreciated his songs several occasions including the April Spring Friendship Art Festival.

They even provided his vocal recital in the homeland.
