Pakistan Protests against U.S. Interference in Its Internal Affairs
Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- Pakistan on Monday summoned American Charge d'Affaires Richard Hoagland after a formal protest was lodged against him over last week's discussion in a congressional hearing on the situation in the country's southwestern Balochistan province.

The charge d'Affaires was informed that this was unacceptable as it amounted to interference in the internal affairs of the country, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly of Pakistan passed a unanimous resolution Monday night, condemning the U.S. Congressional hearing on Balochistan.

The resolution said that the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs has interfered in the internal affairs of Pakistan and the U.S. Congress members had been silent over the killings of innocent people in American drone strikes.

The National Assembly, Lower House of the parliament, said that Pakistan will not accept any interference in the internal affairs of the country.
