Kim Jong Il Awarded Nigeria's Honorary Citizenship
Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- Damaturu City, Yobe State of Nigeria, presented the title of its honorary citizen to leader Kim Jong Il on his 70th birth anniversary.

A ceremony of conveying the citizen certificate took place at the presidential guesthouse on Feb. 9.

The certificate of honorary citizen was conveyed to the head of the DPRK technical assistance group.

The governor of the city said:

Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the Korean people, was the iron-willed commander who provided the powerful nuclear deterrent with his rare courage and pluck.

He dispatched doctors and technicians of the DPRK to Damaturu City to greatly contribute to the improvement of its citizens' health and set a good example of South-South cooperation in various fields including education, agriculture and construction.

The immortal feats of Kim Jong Il who made contribution to the prosperity of the DPRK and the world peace and stability will be kept in the hearts of the Koreans and the world people and the citizens of Damaturu City forever.
