Rodong Sinmun Calls S. Korean Authorities′ Claim for 'Dialogue' Merely Cosmetic
Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- The south Korean conservative authorities' repeated claim that they are open to "dialogue" is aimed to hold the DPRK accountable for the stalled north-south ties. It is also aimed to cover up its true colors as the very one which put the dialogue in total stalemate, says Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a bylined commentary.

South Korea is shameless enough to pervert the facts behind the stalled inter-Korean ties, says the commentary, adding:

If the south Korean authorities are sincere in their hope for the resumption of the dialogue with the DPRK, they should reflect on their hostile acts and make a switchover in the confrontation policy.

The "dialogue" claimed by them is just aimed to deflect public criticism and elicit support for the upcoming "parliamentary elections", not to improve north-south ties.

It is ridiculous for them to speak loudly of "dialogue" in public as they refused to sit at the table with the DPRK in the past.

It is also unreasonable to claim "dialogue" while planning another round of a rehearsal for war.

It is clear that military exercises can never go together with dialogue. Talks in the middle of war drills will naturally end up in a quarrel.

The Lee Myung Bak group's call for "dialogue" can win no one's sympathy.
