Performance of University Students Art Groups Given in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- A performance of art groups of university students from across the country was given at the Central Youth Hall Monday to mark the Day of the Shining Star, the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

The performance began with narration and chorus "Song of General Kim Jong Il", an immortal revolutionary hymn. Put on its stage were colorful numbers presented by art group members of universities, including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun Conservatory, Pyongyang University of Dramatic and Cinematic Arts and Huichon University of Technology, and students in the field of art education.

In poem and song "O Korea, I Will Add Glory to Thee", an immortal masterpiece, and female chorus "Let Us Glorify the Country as Intended by the General" the performers highly sang of the undying feats of Kim Jong Il.

Among the numbers are Kayagum ensemble "Looking back on Our Happiness" and story-telling in unison "Whispering" that impressively showed the happy looks of the university students and their lofty ideological and moral world.

In poem and story-telling and song "We Will Always Cherish the Day in Mind" and poem and chorus "We Will Be Loyal down through Generations" the performers expressed the resolution of the students to prepare themselves as pillars for building a thriving nation under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un, true to the behests of Kim Jong Il.

Enjoying the performance were Choe Yong Rim, Yang Hyong Sop and Choe Ryong Hae and officials concerned, officials and youth and students in the city of Pyongyang.
