S. Korea Toughens Suppression of Pro-Reunification Body
Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities on Feb. 8 cracked down upon the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification, a peace movement organization.

That day the intelligence service and prosecution forcibly searched the houses of four core members of the body including Secretary General O Hye Ran and the offices of the organization and its Inchon branch as well as the Jinbo Network Center in charge of the management of the organization's server.

The authorities charged them with the violation of the "Security Law". They made far-fetched assertions that the actions for the U.S. forces' withdrawal from south Korea, south Korea's breakup of the alliance with the U.S. and dissolution of the "UN Command" were conducted at the instructions of the north.

The suppression of the progressive body by the authorities is last-ditch efforts to dampen the ever-mounting spirit of the south Korean people for the reunification and tide over the ruling crisis.
