Biting Cold and Heavy Snow Cause Rising Toll in Europe
Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- The extreme cold and heavy snow are claiming increasing lives in Europe. 450 people were reported dead in Europe as of Feb. 8.

Six people were frozen to death in Poland on Feb. 7, bringing the toll due to the cold to 53 since Feb. 1.

Four people were reported dead due to the biting cold in Hungary on Feb. 1.

A river flooded following heavy snow in Bulgaria, leaving 8 people dead and 2 people missing.

The water flew to the northern part of Greece, flooding the area and forcing the Greece government to put the area on alert.

Inclement weather persisted with heavy snow in Romania. This cut off electricity supply to 146 villages, isolating the area.

Georgia shut down all state-run schools.
