Stand to Retract FTA Clarified
Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- Han Myong Suk, chief of the opposition Democratic United Party of south Korea, at the meeting of its executive chairmen Wednesday clarified the stand to scrap the shackling FTA with the U.S.

She accused the "government" of working hard to put FTA into force within February.

The agreement can never be allowed to take effect as it disregards the people's interests, she said, adding:

Their concern over the agreement is not confined to the ISD. It would be surely abrogated through regime change and 19th-term "National Assembly."

On the same day the party said it would send a written protest to the U.S. chief executive and Congress demanding the suspension of the effectuation of the FTA and its overall reexamination.
