Ri Sun Gum and Kim Sun Hui, both girls, displayed the might of Taekwon-Do, the martial art of the Korean nation, through demonstrations in the U.S. in June last year.

Ri Myong Jin, Jin Hak Min and Pak Song Hak, male players, and Ri Hyang, Kim Su Ryon, Kim Pom Mi and Jong Chan Suk, female players, won gold medals in the 17th World Taekwon-Do Championship.

Ssirum player Ri Hyok Chol proved successful in the 6th National Martial Art Championship for "September 10 Prize".

The ten best coaches are nine Taekwon-Do coaches -- Won Young Nam, Jang Kyong Ok, Ri Kwang Hyok, Pu Song Min, Kim Yong Gun, Kim Chol Rok, Im Sung Gon, Kim Jong Chol and Ju Myong Bok -- and one Ssirum coach -- Kim Ho Jong.
