Minju Joson Condemns Japan's National Chauvinism
Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- The Tokyo Metropolitan administration of Japan on Jan. 16 decided to cut off subsidy to Korean schools and exclude them from the fiscal 2013 budget.

This shows Japan's hostility towards the DPRK and the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and national chauvinism. Minju Joson Wednesday says this in a bylined commentary.

The commentary goes on:

The Japanese reactionaries play a trick to cover up their inhumanitarian criticism of the educational contents of Korean schools. But they can never escape from the moral responsibility and blame put on it for violating international law.

What Korean schools teach their students is an issue belonging to the sovereign rights of the DPRK and Chongryon. Japan has legal and moral obligation to guarantee and support the education of Korean schools.

Being oblivious of such important responsibility, the Japanese reactionaries expanded suppression of Koreans to education field. This sordid act can never be tolerated.

They seek to achieve their sinister goal through economic oppression against Korean schools. This only reveals their mean colors in the world eyes.

The Japanese reactionaries should immediately stop the foolish acts inviting misfortune.
