Aung Thein Lynn, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party, Union of Myanmar, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

In a notice the preparatory committee said that it would organize colorful political and cultural events for remembering the revolutionary career of the peerlessly great persons and praising the undying feats they performed for the Korean revolution and global independence in the period from February to April.
