Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- Damage by severe cold and tremendous snowfall is increasing in Europe.

Bad weather lasting from Jan. 27 left 210 persons dead in Europe.

In particular, more than 100 people died in Ukraine and over 20 in Romania.

At least nine people were frozen to death in the southwestern region of Poland on Friday.

In Bulgaria 10 people died of the most biting cold in one hundred years, 7 in Serbia, 5 in the Czech Republic and 2 each in Austria, Slovakia and Greece.

The most severe cold and heavy snowfall in 27 years hit Italy, paralyzing railway, air and land traffics whereby thousands of people were left in a fix without help and bringing football matches to a halt.
