Making ceaseless field inspection of units of the Korean People's Army, he made sure that its politico-ideological and military and technical capability was bolstered in every way.

And he laid down the line of economic construction in the Songun era which calls for giving priority to the development of the defence industry.

The reality of the DPRK wining victory after victory under the banner of Songun greatly encourages the people of the countries aspiring after independence and giving strong impetus to the world socialist movement.
