Indonesian Paper on Lunar New Year's Day in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- The Indonesian newspaper Jakarta Post on Jan. 25 carried an article titled "Lunar New Year's Day in DPRK".

It said:

Though it was cold in Pyongyang the Korean people and children made bows to leader Kim Jong Il in humble reverence on the lunar New Year's Day.

This is the first lunar New Year's Day after the Korean people lost him.

Kim Il Sung Square was crowded with people laying Kimjongilias and other beautiful flowers at the portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

The streets in Pyongyang were decorated with such letters as reading "Year 2012" and "Congratulations".

The Korean people merrily enjoy lunar New Year's Day every year.

Schoolchildren's New Year performance was given at the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace.

Introduced on TV was how to cook rice-cake soup, a lunar New Year dish peculiar to Korea.

The Korean people are missing Kim Jong Il who worked heart and soul to provide them with joy of lunar New Year's Day every year, the paper concluded.
