Japan-resident Korean Schoolchildren Take Part in New Year Performance
Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- Japan-resident Korean schoolchildren enjoy acclamations at the lunar New Year performance, which is going on at the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace in Pyongyang.

They put on the stage a narration and dance "We Will Always Follow the Sun."

The audience is deeply moved by the performers wailing over the demise of general secretary Kim Jong Il.

"We will never forget General Kim Jong Il, who had remitted educational aid fund and stipends to us every year, as well as condolatory fund, in order to defend us," they narrate with tears running down their cheeks.

They also say, "We will always follow the dear respected Kim Jong Un, true to the behests of General Kim Jong Il."

Kim Ri Yong, a student at Tokyo Korean Primary and Secondary School No. 1, told KCNA that she could hardly hold back tears at the performance, with ardent yearning for the leader.

Kim Sung Myong, a student at Tokyo Korean Primary and Secondary School No. 5, said, "I feel a pride in joining children of the homeland at the New Year performance."

An estimated 100 children selected from all Korean schools throughout Japan are taking part at the performance.
