U.S. Has No Right to Talk about Human Rights: American Professor
Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- A professor of George Washington University of the U.S. charged that the U.S. has gone beyond the limit line in human rights abuses, according to south Korean Internet paper "Chamsesang" on Jan. 25.

The professor interpreted its reasons in 10 different ways in an article contributed to the Washington Post on Jan. 14.

The article disclosed that the present president is empowered to give an order of shooting to death any moment and detain any citizen for an indefinite period without going through elementary legal procedures.

It is the U.S. where citizens are not granted freedom of legal suit, the article said, adding that the water-boarding by the U.S. army has already been known to the world.

The whole world has demanded punishment of its assailants, but the present U.S. government denied any investigation into the case or an act of filing a law suit, the article pointed out, saying this is a stark violation of the international law.

The professor stressed that the U.S. has no right to call for other countries' improvement of human rights in a report on human rights situation it has announced every year, styling itself "guardian of liberal democracy".
