Rodong Sinmun Barrier to National Reunification Should Be Removed
Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- For the Korean nation's ardent desire for reunification to be realized, it is urgent to wage the struggle for ousting the south Korean conservative group of traitors keen in north-south confrontation.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in a bylined article.

It is the demand of the times and the nation to sweep away the group of outrageous traitors hell-bent on confrontation with fellow countrymen, the article notes, and goes on:

The Lee Myung Bak group, which committed the unpardonable hideous crimes during the mourning over the great loss to the nation, is employing a sleight of hand to cover up its treacherous nature while again talking about "flexibility" and "channel for dialogue" when it faced a strong protest of the public at home and abroad.

It is the fixed stand and will of the DPRK to pave a wide avenue for peace, reunification and prosperity of the nation by the concerted efforts of all Koreans on the basis of the historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

The independent reunification, peace and prosperity we mean are the cause to be accomplished by joining hands with all patriotic forces loving the country and the nation. This cause has nothing to do with such traitors as the Lee Myung Bak group. Only ruin is waiting for this group.

The north-south relations, on which the prospect of the nation's destiny and reunification hinge, can by no means be a plaything of the south Korean ruling quarters.
