U.S., S. Korea to Stage Anti-DPRK War Games
Pyongyang, January 21 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialist aggression forces and the south Korean Marine Corps are scheming to stage in a big way anti-DPRK joint military exercises, according to Yonhap News of south Korea.

The commanders of the U.S. marines present in south Korea and the south Korean marines met at the command of the U.S. marines in Ryongsan, Seoul on Jan. 19 to discuss the large-scale joint landing exercises dubbed "Ssangryong" to be staged in and around Phohang, North Kyongsang Province, in March.

The trigger-happy forces plan to conduct such drills for preemptive attack as landing, infiltration and live firing with involvement of as many as ten thousand troops belonging to the U.S. Third Marine Expedition stationed in Okinawa of Japan as well as the marines during the exercises, which will be reportedly the biggest ever after the "Team Spirit" joint military exercises in 1989.

The two marines have also agreed to stage on the five islands in the West Sea of Korea field mobile rehearsal focusing on the discussion of tactics, topographical scouting and enlarged naval firing drills in the first half of this year, apart from the said exercises, and to make this rehearsal annual one from this year.

In the meantime, the south Korean war hawks decided to dispatch troops of its marine corps to war games that will be conducted overseas in February and July under the supervision of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces.

Though frequently calling for dialogue, the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean warmongers can never cover up their wild design to stifle the DPRK by force of arms.
