S. Korean Authorities Accused of Yielding to U.S.
Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- South Korean civic and social organizations including the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification, the Confederation of Trade Unions and the Solidarity for Progress on Jan. 17 held a press conference in front of the puppet Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade to condemn the authorities for yielding to the U.S.

The organizations criticized the U.S. for trying to plug south Korea into imposing sanctions against Iran.

Recalling that to this end an official of the U.S. Department of State has been on visit to south Korea since Jan. 16, they lodged a strong protest with it.

In case the authorities meet the U.S. request, it will cause serious consequences to south Korea, they warned.

Nevertheless, the Lee Myung Bak regime is yielding to the U.S. under the pretext of the alliance with it, they deplored, and continued:

The alliance with the U.S. which the "government" has so noisily advertised is, in the final analysis, aimed at helping the U.S. maintain its supremacy.

They declared all people would dynamically turn out in the action against the humiliating alliance with the U.S.
