DPRK's Joint New Year Editorial Supported
Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- The Executive Committee of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia and organizations of Russia and Peru issued statements in support of the joint New Year editorial of the DPRK.

The Executive Committee of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia in a statement on Jan. 11 said that the joint editorial demonstrated the fixed faith and will of the Korean people to invariably advance along the road of revolutionary changes.

It went on:

It is thanks to the grand blueprint unrolled by General Secretary Kim Jong Il that 2012 will be adorned with victories and the DPRK will turn more splendid to suit the appearance of a thriving nation.

We support the stand of the Workers' Party of Korea to place the interests common to the nation before anything else and subordinate everything to them.

We believe that all the tasks set forth in the editorial will be successfully implemented.

The Karelia-DPRK Friendship Association of Russia, the Karelia Branch of the Russian Veterans Fund, the Karelia Branch of the Movement for Supporting the Army, the Karelia Branch of the Navy Veterans Union and the Karelia Branch of the International Soviet Officers Union in a joint statement on Jan. 10 wished the DPRK great successes in the struggle to develop the economy of the country and improve the standard of people's living on the occasion of the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung.

The Kim Jong Suk Library in Peru in a statement on Jan. 9 supported the Korean people in their struggle to reunify the country independently and peacefully under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The statement denounced the moves of the anti-DPRK, anti-reunification forces and strongly demanded the U.S. forces, the main obstacle to the peace on the Korean Peninsula, be withdrawn from south Korea.

It supported the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and expressed solidarity with the just cause of the Korean people to reunify the country.
