British Organizations Hit S. Korean Authorities for Obstruction to Mourners' Visit to DPRK
Pyongyang, January 18 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association issued a joint statement on Jan. 7 in protest against the south Korean authorities' fascist suppression of members of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon).

The statement said:

We were stunned by the south Korean authorities' crackdown on the chairman and core members of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon.

What is noticeable in particular is that they were tried only for their attempt to visit the DPRK to mourn the so untimely passing away of General Secretary Kim Jong Il. It is inconceivable to bar any people from visiting to express condolences and try them.

Many pro-reunification patriots have been arrested and kept behind bars in south Korea, the statement said, urging the south Korean authorities to release those members of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon at once.
