Unmovably fastened to the drill, it ensures a stable operation of the machine.

Its drilling speed is 1.3 times faster than the crown made with natural diamond in quartz granite and hornstone, whose rock intensity is 9 to 10, while its serviceable life is 5 times longer.

Local prospecting teams have already begun to use the home-made crown.

Its developer at the Mechanical Engineering Institute told KCNA:

"With the newly-developed crown beginning to be used, drilling technologies have been put on a scientific and standardized basis. A production base of the crown has also been built in the country."
