Kim Hyong Jik University of Education Takes on New Look
Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- Kim Hyong Jik University of Education is undergoing a renovation as required by the new century.

The renovation project has been undertaken by servicepersons from June Juche 100 (2011).

They pulled down old buildings and removed earth as much as tens of thousands of cubic meters in less than two months.

They are also rebuilding the gatepost of the university's main entrance to hang up the tablet "Kim Hyong Jik University of Education" autographed by President Kim Il Sung.

The frame assembling of five-storeyed and nine-storeyed buildings and library have already been completed.

The interior plastering and installation of geothermal equipment for air-conditioning the buildings are near completion.

A progress is also made in the reconstruction of the cultural center and gymnasium of the university and in readjustment of the campus.

With the renovation project making a good headway, the university is taking on a new look.

Yun Chan Uk, vice-rector of the university, told KCNA that after the project the university will assume a completely new appearance befitting a centre of training educators.
