Music and Dance Performance Goes on
Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- A music and dance performance "Let Us Uphold Our Supreme Commander Forever" is going on before full house at the April 25 House of Culture everyday.

The performance staged on Tuesday mesmerized the audience as it fully demonstrated the militant spirit of the powerful revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu and its ideological and mental traits.

After the playing of the national anthem, the performers and audience paid silent tribute in humble reverence to General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The performance began with the immortal revolutionary hymn "Song of General Kim Jong Il".

Put on the stage were colorful numbers including band music and mixed chorus "Comrade Kim Jong Il Is Our Supreme Commander", female solo and mixed pangchang "Where Are You, Dear General?", an immortal masterpiece, and mixed chorus "Might of Korea."

Whenever the noble images of Kim Jong Il making endless journeys to inspect the front day and night, leaving legends about love were projected on the stage background in succession, the audiences burst into loud applause, overcome with deep emotion.

Tears were seen rolling down the cheeks of the audience when mixed chorus "Boundless Is Yearning" was reverberated. This song reflected the ardent yearning of all people across the country for Kim Jong Il.

Its repertoire also included male trio "The Country I Am Defending", tap dance "Let Us Keep Pace to the Tune of Army Song", male vocal solo and male chorus "Song of Comradeship", male chorus "Leader, Just Give Us Your Order", narrative poem "Oh Korea, Tell the Story" and songs "Footstep" and "We Will Safeguard General Kim Jong Un with Our Lives."

The performance was acclaimed by the audience for its high ideological value and artistry.
