KCNA Commentary Flays GNP Ridden with Scams
Pyongyang, January 16 (KCNA) -- The south Korean political camp has been driven to a bay.

Since it suffered a bitter defeat in the Seoul mayoral election last year, the "Grand National Party" has made desperate efforts to get out of its predicament, crying out for "revamping" it. This farce, however, developed into an inter-faction wrangling of the GNP for expansion of the sphere of influence. The political camp has not spent even a single day in peace. To cap it all, there broke out a case of enveloped money.

Ko Sung Dok, a lawmaker from the GNP, confessed recently that he returned enveloped three million won which he had received from a pro-Lee Myung Bak candidate for the chairman of the GNP prior to its congress during the 18th term-"National Assembly." The candidate was elected its chairman later, Ko added.

Even the names of the speaker of the "National Assembly" and the chief presidential secretary for political affairs are mentioned over the suspicion of the enveloped money that stunned the south Korean society.

It was daily occurrence that scandals broke among confidants of the chief executive in an unbroken chain and every congress of the GNP was dominated by money. The GNP is a centre of money-dominated politics in the true sense of the word.

The reality glaringly shows the sign of the downfall of the south Korean regime of traitors.

The politics of the traitors forsaken by the people is bound to be accompanied by scandals.

The whole society of south Korea cannot but be torn with scandals as Chongwadae and the ruling quarters of south Korea are hell-bent on swindle, illegalities and corruption.

It is quite natural for the south Korean people to spit at the corrupt leadership of the GNP which allows briberies during the election of its chairman.

No matter how frequently it "revamps" itself, the GNP can never save its destiny as a doomed party.

The days of the politicians forsaken by the people are numbered.
