Radioactive Substances Continue to Be Detected in Japan
Pyongyang, January 15 (KCNA) -- Radioactive substances are continuing to be detected in Japan due to the consequences of the accident at the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant, sparking off a serious problem.

Around 300 tons of water contaminated with relatively high amounts of radioactive substances has been found in an underground tunnel near the No. 3 unit at the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, Tokyo Electric Power Co. said Thursday.

Tokyo Electric Power Co. said the water in the tunnel, used to lay electric cables, contained 49 to 69 becquerels of radioactive cesium per cubic centimeter.
